multiple temperature sensors.

just another thought on the JK BMS temperature sensors. The temperature sensor leads are rather short. would it be possible to splice in some wire to extend them from say ~35cm to 55cm?

I wouldn't splice in, I'd solder in a new wire and put the probes at the end of the leads. Each solder connection can change the resistance, which changes the value of the read temperature. Unless you can do offsetting in the settings.
But yes, you can extend the probe wire lengths.

Do you know this type?

I think it's possible to solder and they make them 'Normally closed' and 'normally open' - The circuit for the 'normally open' is really easy to make.
More safely for thermal fuses when you use "normally close" ones. Then you can see immediately if you have problem with power source for heat safety circuit.
"normally open" fuses safety circuit will not work without power.
Now Im talking about separate heat safety circuits.

Maybe somebody can use this wiring. Separate thermal safety cut off circuit with possible multiple thermal fuses connected in serie. This circuit stay open when triggered or if power supply for this circuit get of. Can be reset with button. This simple wiring don't let you know which thermal fuse initiated cut off action. You must figure it out yourself. If you have main cut relay with extra control contacts then you can eliminate control relay.
