I wouldn't splice in, I'd solder in a new wire and put the probes at the end of the leads. Each solder connection can change the resistance, which changes the value of the read temperature. Unless you can do offsetting in the settings.just another thought on the JK BMS temperature sensors. The temperature sensor leads are rather short. would it be possible to splice in some wire to extend them from say ~35cm to 55cm?
More safely for thermal fuses when you use "normally close" ones. Then you can see immediately if you have problem with power source for heat safety circuit.Do you know this type?

I think it's possible to solder and they make them 'Normally closed' and 'normally open' - The circuit for the 'normally open' is really easy to make.
