Pete's BMS Story - Regular updates with issues or excitement I find along the way.

Why the need for the change?

Looks good Pete.

So are you putting a shunt on both negative and positive?
He want to make sure that all electrons going in will go out again :p

Sorry for that OT but couldn't help it. I always get weird images in my head of things. Like cartoon like.. Hmm I should perhaps check what i drink and eat...

bunch still to do but HELL YES! I've caused some stress by not making cables properly and i think i knocked one of the longmons in the install but apart from that DON"t do this in such a small shed you'll end up on TV.

That's what ground fault interrupters are for. ;)

The occupancy of this battery may not exceed 10^28 electrons.

I"m so happy with my new TV !

bit of a live feed with some heavy loads was fun watching the BMS react

Three days later with some plus 50% discharges and it's the first time voltage has come back anywhere near fully charged. Don't quite know if there is enough left in the sun today to get all the way there but. Wow, this is destroyingmy time management watching it constantly.

Trying to load test the cells without being silly wasting power is a little harder as the nights have started getting cooler and we are not having ceiling fans on 24/7 and fridges and freezers aren't being worked so hard

Cooler? What you talkin about?!? It's getting hot!!! 80F+ and we broke record temps of 91F yesterday! Sheesh, gettin cooler. You lost your mind. You must be smokin those hot Sanyo's :p

SOO many hot Sanyo's this week I've stopped processing them..hahahha

So many rewarding hours of work, soo little footage - update soon but you can work out from this pick some new things happened :)

Is there a max amount of Longmons?

From what i read it looks like they use almost the same as I2C's address space, so you have roughly 248 nodes per bus, though i believe the controller has 2 independent buses,

Yep, 248 :) I have a ways to go yet. working on it

Bit more work today adding an Altec 48v Charger to the BatriumWatchmon to manage the balancing of the cells more efficiently. Also reinstalled the PCM60X as I'll soon be adding another 1.5kw of panels.

This one was just a bit of a fun video, 100x normal speed. Looks soo trippy

A good morning of work and I've redone the power shed again. Full details in next video :p
