Theses are used panels that I got for a good price, 2 years old, Risun 215wc, 1606x986x5.7 so you mount them by using aluminium clamp like theses:

21 panels, job done one hour ago!
It's a really good improvement in production from 9 panels, now I will have enough for the water heater every day.

I put 3*40Kg of sand as deadweight on the other side of the frame. Was thinking it was agreat idea to use 40Kg instead of 25, less bags to attach but 40 by a 4m ladder through a roof window is not easy as Ihadto keep the bag over my head to pass the window :D

I had to work on the first packs (thoses from mars)as they were unbalanced, i used the spare cells in the lower packs and soldered one wire as the fuse wire are already soldered.
i just f*** up when I connected all 7 in parallelto balance, I reversed one pack, big spark and all fuses gone on that pack, no dommage to others. Ittook me 15minutes to resolder but it confirm the fuses can save a pack from disaster :)

As I started mining crypto currency I haven't enough production for h24, so I put the water heater back on the grid (at night) and use the solar for everything else during the day, it minimise the mining cost so the profit.
 
Ethereum as it make profit even when you pay electricity and as I'm a former extreme overclocker/hardware enthusiast I have tons of motherboard, cpu, memory, ssd and powersupply. So I just need to buy the graphic cards.

As I heat the house with wood pellet and electricity, mining is a good way to heat for free. With my current hardware (+-100Mh) it repay hardware under a year (after deducting electricity cost and assuming it's 100% from grid). So after a year i will make profit and heat the house for free.
If it become not profitable in the future i will sell the cards without loosing money as they will be partially or fully paid at that time.
 
Hi coolfx, your builds look impressive. I am in Holland and was interested to come to Belgium to see your packs and meet face to face. Will you have some time?
