Bob's Powerwall Project

Well I just achieved a new mile stone, while not as big as most, I have Tesla install a 9.1kW PV system. It all went very well, the disconnect is outside, the inverter is in the basement near to the service panel. The question I have is that they installed a Delta Solivia 7.6 TL inverter. I believe the max input is 9.12 kW, so I am really close. Anyone see any problems with this, it looks as if max ac out is 7600 w. I still need to go through township inspection, utility inspections, and net meter install

As for my battery packs, I just started my 3rd 600A. I am still trying to figure out this AC Coupling

In Sweden many have 20% more PV compair to what the inverter will take on the MPPT side to be a bit more efficient on low sunny day. yes you miss out some sun when its sunny but you get more when its cloudy and getting dark.

When i read the specifications the inverter is max 7.6kW so you will never be able to max out the 9.1kW solar panel you have... Unless the limit is not in software and it will go beyound the peak? Ask them that!!

Is it just grid-tie? Or am I missing something? Sounds kind of expensive :) But on other hand it seem to have rather good efficiency.. So that should work fine.

Yes it is grid-tied and judging by the ways of the utilities commission and our government, they will attempt to make solar less attractive. It is too political and controlled by people at a pay grade that I can only dream about. I will call the inverter company and ask them, if I understand correctly the inverter will start clipping at 7600 kW PV feed or better, this means on a bright sunning day if my system is generating 8900kw, the inverter will reduce it's efficiency to only produce 7600kw.

The way I see it in my simplistic mind is... I want to take a trip, it is 100 miles away and my car gets 25 mph, to be most efficient because gas puts weight on the car, I purchase 4 gallons of gas, how can I trust I am going to make it to my destination? This is some cray arse shitzu they are throwing at my wall.

My system currently is 28 (325watt panels made in Buffalo NY by Tesla), 1 Delta Soiivia 7.6 TL Inverter, and a cutoff switch.... that's it, gotta buy another inverter to set up a micro-grid and batteries, I am currently on my 3 pack and my configuration is going to be 14s240p unless someone can convince me to go smaller.
