Where is everyone buying there solder from?

I needed some yesterday and my local electronics supply was $45 CAD for 1lb roll

Local store here. I dont use much solder in total so its worth it.

I use Worthington Sterling Lead-Free 1lb Rolls. You can buy it in Lowe's, but I found someone on eBay selling several roles at once for half the price of the stores. Guess he just wanted to get rid of it. It's lead-free and flux-free, which is great because you can pick your own electronics flux and only use the amount you need.

I've only every used rosin core solder. If I chose to use lead free, what flux would you suggest for 18650 style work? Any diameter of solder more suitable?

sorry...not intending to hijack the thread.

Which type of solder are we each using? 60/40, 63/37 or one of the many lead free types.

I was thinking of going for 63/37, for no reason other than its a true eutectic alloy. Does anyone know of a more scientific reason for making a solder type choice for applying to 18650 terminals?
