@mike Thanks. Does they have same voltage as 18650 ? Eg, can I test them with an Opus or it is too dangerous ? (for example non powerwall usage?).

I would probably try it if it were me, but I'm not comfortable suggesting someone else try it and risking they get hurt. If you do a bit of googling, you'll find cells with a similar (but not exactly the same) model number.

Found some data on these buried in a .pdf from Sony dated June 2001.
Seems they come in three flavors:

US17670G3 - 3.7v @ 1500mAh
US17670G3D - 3.7v @ 1450mAh
US17670G4D - 3.7v @ 1550mAh

The dimensions on these are 17mm x 67mm.
They will not fit in a standard 18650 holder, as they are slightly longer and thinner.
I came across these from and old laptop (Toshiba?) battery.

I would love to submit the datasheet, but I am having trouble (new member.)

Can't upload information to link provided in 1st post due to new account.
Also can't add URL in first post, but PDF file attached to this message.
Will post URL in next message.
Look at page 8-9, not to much but some specifications of US17670G3/3D/4D

This PDF also added to this message.
Best regards.

According to the Toshiba battery pack they came from these are 1200mAh. "US17670 SONY ENERGYTEC" Made in 1995. Weight: 36.0g
Tested a couple today (27 years since manufacturing!) at 800mAh (200mA, 3.0V) and 224mOhm IR. Amazing that after 27 years they can still power my small 100 lumen flashlight!

Sorry for dragging up an ancient thread but I had to register to give my thanks for the information here.

I have an old Toshiba laptop a 410CDT, I upgraded it over the years so that it now runs windows 98. An even older DOS
machine got mentioned and whilst fishing that out (Toshiba TS3100e/40) I thought lets get the 410 running.

Battery light is flashing orange, after remembering howto remove the battery (one tiny sliding clip and one plastic springy clip).
No voltage at the battery at all. Luckily the battery case is snapped together not glued.

Opended to find 9 x Sony US17670's , Battery pack number PA2487U DC10.8v, 3600mAh. So the above spec seems
correct at 1200mAh per battery.

Sadly one cell is all lumpy and bumpy under that outer cover. It would be nice to rebuild the pack but putting £50 of batteries
into it does not seem worthwhile.

Do modern lipos have a shorter lifespan? Thinking of a cheap 3S pouch stlye pack to just keep it alive.

Thank You.
