I have a bunch of cells that I've pulled mainly from laptop packs. This thread will be continuallyupdated. I'm located in Phoenix, AZ.

Payments andShipping
PayPal preferred.Prices do not include shipping. I've found that I can fit up to 44 18650s in a USPS small flat-rate box, and up to ~300 in a medium flat-rate box.

Please contact me for additional info:photos, sizes, quantities, etc.

Unopened laptop batteries $3/lb

Bad 18650s $0.25 each
These either measured <1v, heated during charge, or lost charge after a few weeks. These do not include cells that have been physically damaged, leaking, orcorroded.

Good 18650s $0.50 and up, each
These have been charged to ~4.2v, left to sit for several weeks to ensure they remain over 4v, thencapacity tested. Capacities are written on the cells.
  • Sub-1000 mAh: $.50 each
  • 1000-1499mAh: $.75 each
  • 1500-1999 mAh: $.99 each
  • 2000+ mAh: Sorry, keeping these for myself

Pouches $.99 each
No swelling pouches. These are marked individually, butoften come in pairs. I have left most of these together unless one was swelling. All cells have been charged to 4.1+ volts.
  • Sanyo 741 series (from Apple products): anywhere from 2500-4000 mAh. Sizes vary, but each pouch isusually 5mm thick x 60mm x 80-100mm
  • Sanyo UPF586269M (2600 mAh), UPF673791 (unk mAh), UPF64496M (2970 mAh)
  • ASUS C11P1502: 4868 mAh
  • Sony US604496 (2500 mAh), US644199 (2900 mAh)
Prismatics $1.50 each
Charged to 4.1+v. Samsung unless otherwise noted. These are also ~60x80, but slightly thicker at 6+mm. Rated capacities are 3000-4500 mAh
  • ICP666480B
  • ICP903864A
  • NCA596080
  • ICP596080A
  • Sanyo UF484462S: 1560 mAh
LiFePO4
To be updated

Other Cells $0.99 each
NiCd
  • Panasonic KR-1800SCE: rated at 1800 mAh, all charged to ~1.4v
16760
  • Sony US17670GR: rated at ~1500 mAh, all charged to 4.1+ volts
16650(?)
  • I have a few no-name cells in orange wrapping; the numbers don't turn up anything. They're slightly shorter than the 16760, but appear to be the same diameter. I don't have measurements at the moment, but I'd venture that they're 16650s.
  • Charged and capacity tested: ~1500-1600 mAh

I'm curious, how many batteries or cells would be in a pound of the unopened? I mean just ballpark, not exact. If it works out to something like $1 per untested cell or less, I would be very interested. :)

That's a good deal. My next paycheck is Nov. 10. I may have to send a chunk of it your way. :)

I'll still have plenty, especially unopened laptop batteries. I've pulled about 1000 total 18650s, with 5-600 holding 4+ volts several weeks after charge, and the rest roughly split between "bad out of the package" and "won't hold charge." They're currently being separated by make/model, but I will be checking working capacities in the coming days.

I'm interested in the unopened laptop cells. I sent a PM the other day as well.
