Hi 18650 community,

I'm Arnaud, land surveyor in Belgium.
I started collecting laptop batteries for a 24v powerwall project with 3*215Wc 30v solar panels.
I tried to start for cheap (planned 2*100WC panels to test first) and using cheap solar charger and old computer ups as inverterbut Ichange my mind a lot and improve/make more expensive :D
So now I have few hundreds (450?) 18650 to test and approx 400 high capacitystill in there laptop batteries.

Hi Arnaud,

welcome here in forum!

So you have approximately 450 cells and 400 high capacity laptop batteries?
If every battery has 6 to 9 pieces of cells it means that you have additionaly tousands of cells - is that right?
If yes, it is a good beginning!

BigBen

Hi BigBen,

450 cells already unpacked and approx 400 cells still in their packs (+-45 packs of 9 cells), not 400 packs unfortunately :p

Looking forward to seeing new videos from you Rudi!
You're the one actually pushing me over to really start my own powerwall project :)
So before I catch up with just building packs, I need to learn what to combine to enable solar-power to feed my powerwall :)

Merci.
Christian
