And stupid expensive too!!!! :ROFLMAO:
Early adopter tax is a pita

I haven't done it yet, but would be interesting to put the BOM in JLCPCB or PCVWay or such and see how much that cost would be.

WOW I'd watch that video for 10 hours on the row!

And stupid expensive too!!!!
289$ on tindie.com WTH! I think they got something wrong in their business plan... I surely won't buy one, maybe because I grew up in those dirty labs where everything was recycled... my Attiny85s cost 1.60$ and Arduino UNOs 3.50$, uhm.

And to really learn MCU and simple circuit programming I think you must be able to move wires around fast without lifting your head off the desk: lets put the blue wire here, look at DMM, no lets put it there, DMM shows 5V? no, lets disconnect the black wire. How can you miss out those wires melting during test...

Ok, I might try one if I get it as a Christmas present :D

P.S.
Love the jumping woman on the Deny Access sign LOL

Actually, you can with this. It's connected directly to the computer with the usb and data is being fed back. you can change which "wires" connect to which pins on the board by clicking/selecting the appropriate ones on the GUI.

Tbf, there's a lot of work that's gone into that project. The dev is just trying to recoup some of the time costs. I can respect that. They've at least made the files open source and freely available.

I doubt it's the ATTINY or the basic chips that's driving the cost up. It's the super uber duber hyper selectable multi-plexor chips and the wiring required to make it all work together, and safely without blowing something up by switching the wrong connections.

WOW - too bad I know nothing at this level of electronics but it looks sooo cool to play with if I was interested in diving into this level of stuff :)

YOOOHOO that is really impressive.
Time flies away like dry sand thru your fingers.
When i was younger i was playing with EWBA and EWBD. before windows....
Playing with basic...and 40 years later, what we have now?
